this in response viewtopic.php?f=32&t=113604 hc-sr04 sonar ranger seemed read incorrectly when system under load. thought perhaps pigpio been starved of time , not empty sample buffer before overwritten or heavy load causing serious pertubrations in dma timing. neither seem case. decided generate pulses arduino pro mini known reference point @ same time sonar ranger being read. generated pulses nominal 5ms long @ 50hz. hc-sr04 sonar ranger hc-sr04-a.png (54.62 kib) viewed 338 times in test 300 thousand samples taken. 0-99999 no additional load. 100000-199999 stress (stress -i 5 -c 5 -d 5 --hdd-bytes 5m -m 5 --vm-bytes 1m). stress file writes network drive, not pi sd card. 200000-299999 stress plus grep searching string in files under /usr. under stress can see sonar ranger readings affected whereas pro mini pulses stable. decided simulate sonar ranger using arduino pro mini, using same software previous test. simulat...
