Thread: How to make the most of available RAM?

hi, running jaunty on 4 year old dell inspiron 2200 256mb of ram use internet , media. have been searching arond ways make of ram have available , far have disabled automatic updates (in favour of checking manually every few days) , looked @ other windows managers , web browsers, gnome , firefox , stick these.

appreciate advice or suggestion on ways optimize ram or reduce background system usage (if possible - i'm new linux , windows user never thought stuff)

i dont think needed. because think runs @ efficient already.

know there things can change conf files change hard drive settings cant remember try searching swappiness in google.

hello, after conventional installation raspbian noobs v 1.4 raspberry pi 2 . how can configure internet connection on raspberry me download apt.
