Ethernet based home automation system
hey guys,
i working on building home automation system using ethernet based connection. controlling appliances via relays , needed advice regarding selecting relay controlling 2 ton air conditioner.
i have found relay seems have high current capability of 30 http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/grove-spdt-relay30a-p-1473.html
will enough 2 ton ac . other alternative measures can suggested switching ac appreciated.
thanks

the relay can handle fine, worry connections wires. things carry 30 amps, lot of power, have big connnections. little heating there cause arcing, cause more heating until connection burns up.
take close @ ssr (solid state relay), these can controlled directly arduino , isolate control ssr pretty effectively. last long time; i've never had failure. have big connectors. don't make noise.
just thinking though.
