automated builds w/RH6 and RH7

we use automated build process (visual build professional) checks rh files out of source control software (we use surround) , generates webhelp output using robohelp command line in build script. until now, used rh6 , process amazingly seamless. i'd check source files surround @ end of day , next morning, output appear in new build of our application.

sweet.

the problem i'm writing happened when upgraded files rh7 right after our last software release. while i'm having no problems generating output in rh7, build engineer can no longer work in automated process. (yes, upgraded rh7 on build machine, updated command line rh7, , no, we're not trying run build across network.)

since "my" step causing entire build fail (oops), i've been asked figure out what's going on...

any thoughts why rh6 work in scenario not rh7?

i should mention still need support our last release, done in rh6. means rh6 , rh7 both installed on build machine in case need rebuild last version of help. there known issues that? haven't experienced problems having em both on computer, long don't inadvertently open rh7 version rh6 , vice versa.

robohelp creates entry in path environment variable , uses running command line. if have both rh6 , rh7 installed have 2 entries robohelp in path variable. if run rh7 command line , rh6's entry before rh7's in path variable create problems.

it can fixed in build script. please make sure entry rh7 before rh6 in path variable if wnat run rh7 command line complier , vice versa if want run rh6 command line compiler.

e.g. (to set path)
set path="c:\program files\adobe\adobe robohelp 7\robohtml";%path%

vivek.
