Xbee arduino to Xbee Pc

hi everybody, require help. here want send data arduino board pc using xbee module. not know @ how. want use transparent mode xbee modules. send information point point b , not know @ start, me please? thank attention

equipment: 2 xbee pro (digi)
                  1 usb xbee explore
                  1 xbee shield

are using xbee shield? or adafruit xbee adaptor? (http://www.ladyada.net/make/xbee/), or sparkfun's versions? ( usb dongle, https://www.sparkfun.com/products/8687  , , ttl  https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11373)

i'm assuming usb dongle (either adafruit's, parallax, or sparkfun, pc side. these tutorials should pointedd in right direction.  i'm still working on robotics project, , i've settled on xbee communications between laptop & robot, trying figure communications packet protocol between two. i've mastered point point, matter of getting info & forth between 2 devices.
