Littlebits, a lesson in magnetism or electronics?

i introduced littlebits via email on arduino forum.  don't it?  8+ years of age; i'd rather 50 cents worth of leds , teach polarity, resistance, regulation , such ( over-current , burn out few in teaching process).  ...not magnets.  think these "bits" dumb down electronics aspect of what's being built.  ...maybe fuel users beyond magnets , they'll understand what's happening , realize magnets conductor.

if gave littlebit user 1k resistor, led, , 9v battery, ask "where magnets"?

...just thoughts on "bits"
