Wiring relay with AC water pump

hey everybody...i'm doing self-watering plant http://www.instructables.com/id/self-watering-plant/?allsteps , came road block on wiring ac powered water pump relay.

i wanted see if identify pins on relay (jzc-11f 005-1z 5vdc), closed , opened? , also, if explain how go wiring ac water pump breadboard?

1) this first time working ac power in project
i understand safety precautions of working ac, if has important suggest, including obvious...please let me know. have done research i'm not quite sure how enough. don't want deter challenge because feel learn lot execution.

2) this first time working relay
i understand pins relay coil pins, closed, opened, , common.
i not understand wire should go pin.
i not understand wires go relay coil pins , either of relay coil pins positive or negative, or work that
i not understand common pin does.
i understand "flyback" diode suggested , why important...is between 2 relay coil pins?

i using 9v battery 1 of breadboard rails.

i appreciate , hope others can learn post too.

stand near wall.
face wall.
place 1 hand on wall , extend other hand on wall 3 inches away wall.
now pretend relay.
you body common
your left hand touching wall nc (normally closed) because making contact wall.
your right hand no (normally open) because not making contact wall.
now on count of three, pull left hand away wall , place right hand on wall , "click"
you have been energized , hand no making contack , current flowing through hand , through body (the common) , solenoid.

does ?

no. flyback diode goes across load (solenoid or motor) cathode (banded end) connected +voltage (motor or solenoid power supply) , other end connected other terminal of motor or solenoid.
all need know diode protects transistors , or relay contacts, or mosfets, switching motor or solenoid shorting emf ground. (back emf reverse current occurs when inductive device , motor or solenoid de-energized. not place discussion of magnetic theory  let's leave that.

the pins identified in bottom view of relay on last page of attached datasheet.
the coil 2 pins have resistor connected (that symbol represents coil) , open contact 1 not touching common in diagram. nc 1 touching common .
