Directory structure problem installing 1.0.11 - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i downloaded joomla 1.0.11 computer, ftped website server, , executed david-k-rose.com/joomla.  got diag right away:

warning: main(/path/to/joomla/install/includes/version.php): failed open stream: no such file or directory in /home/david-k-/public_html/joomla/includes/joomla.php on line 71

fatal error: main(): failed opening required '/path/to/joomla/install/includes/version.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/david-k-/public_html/joomla/includes/joomla.php on line 71

the thing is: there no directory "joomla/install', yet directory joomla/includes contain both joomls.php , version.php.

what gives?

did run install on local machine, build site on local pc , want transfer it?

or, did unzip files on local pc , ftp'd them without running install?

for first option, need read posts on migrating site local pc web server.

for second option, have run install on web server before can see joomla in action.

from code posted, looks install never done (unless hid server-specific data!)

so, option two, ftp files again including install folder , browse site start installation.

hello, after conventional installation raspbian noobs v 1.4 raspberry pi 2 . how can configure internet connection on raspberry me download apt. hi, i've installed multithumb 1.1 on joomla 1.011 site , works fine in basic set-up (and jce-editor). except when try tweaking mambot params, things stop working. specifically: if use "only in these categories" setting , fill in categoryname, e.g. "news", pop-ups/thumbnails stop working, categories, including "news". if use "not in these categories" these categories still use pop-ups. if select "use thumbnails" "no" not no thumbnails no pop-ups anymore. so way use multithumb selectively use optioni "apply content {multithumb}", bit cumbersome. there more people having these issues? hi bikey, i having issues bit different - yet same.  saying have way set configuration plug-in.  not know how find cong this.  if can maybe read posting - don't bore process.  jce editor - have not installed - still using default html editor - cant recall name.  why not see config file? anyway - find if use static page , pass com...
