My Pi stopped booting (REALLY WIERD) - Raspberry Pi Forums
hi,
have real weird problem disables me starting raspberry pi , have read entire sticky problems post (the long one) , troubleshooting wiki page.
clear, using raspberrypi model b w/ 512 mb's of ram.
doing internet project , of sudden when shut down pi run final test, when boot again, doesn't. happened right after stopped working power led bright red , after few seconds, dim until turned off. after that, checked components , realized whole voltage regulating circuit real hot. turned off, because either capacitor going blow or didn't want cpu burning out.
next day when plugged in power see happen, same thing happened, , time cpu hot surprised wasn't willing burn out. dad, hardware engineer, decided polyfuse blown, let sit week.
after re flashed sd card w/ noobs v4.0 (using card swag store) , plugged pi. (and connectors intact, nothing wrong them) booted , noobs menu came up. out of excitement (i'm 13) went go tell dad booting. time got pi, screen blank, , cpu overheating.
. tried power on again , no, didn't work. plugged pc , found out renamed 'recovery' re flashed , when tried again (i tried 5 times) still didn't boot up.
question is, heck going on here?

probably static electricity has entered soc, (through gpio's, or exposed interface connector, hdmi port) , managed blow transistors in soc causing internal short between power gnd. resulting short circuit current caused further lasting internal damage, , blew fuse. internal damage remains, pi irreparably damaged. nothing can it.
