CF Hosting - Viability and Affordability

i'm looking feedback viability of shared cf8 hosting. i've done research on web , in these forums options are. concerns cost , logistics.

a client , trying decide between cf8 , .net project. (let's not pros , cons of each. know both, , client , beyond point.)

our final concern shared hosting cf8 ms sql server or mysql.

with .net, there's whole universe of shared-hosting options less $25-30/month.

with cf8, there noticeably less in price range. plus, aren't due unsupported tags.

my client's concern (and agree) is, realtively few cf8 options, stuck in future if 1 host goes out of business, takes downturn in service, 1 decides raise rates, etc. we're not saying stuff happens time, there have been plenty of times on years provider goes bad due growing much, loss of key personnel, things that.

how respond concern? both client, , me (a colleague). i've used cf corporate clients or clients dedicated servers. don't know track record of developing cf (particularly cf8) client needs shared hosting.

thank you.
