basic coldfusion questions

hello cf people!

i thinking learning php or coldfusion. (and million other
things!!)

i have trial installed , ready go, developer looks after
our companies main websites has told me coldfusion not used
much , expensive.

two questions - why care if expensive not need pay
it, right?

and, if not used me when need
for work in web design?

yes, expensive. may or may not worth depending on need do.
generally speaking, php more used , coldfusion in
most respects. coldfusion can things php can, , vica versa. if
needs don't require specific coldfusion may better off
with php if finding work issue you.

depends if have host has bought , paid -
you host site on server. find coldfusion hosting
usually costs little guess os can money had
to spend?) $10 or month.
