Thread: reflections and blur won't work in Compiz

i've got geforce ti4200 , compiz works great except blur, reflections , water effect. don't care water effect, want blur , reflections work. i've looked in other places , answer see compiz needs have pixel shaders run this. far can tell, ti4200 has pixel shaders, why won't these effects work?
box checked in ccsm, , reflection selected. box next alpha blur windows contains word "any", , emerald setting next compiz decoration blur type set @ decoration. these suggestions in other places discussed, , none of helps.
