Wiring up a Super Vexta Stepper Driver

backstory: i'm retrofitting old 35mm motion picture scanner (mid-late 1990s) led light source , modern 4k cameralink-based sensor. i've done fair bit of programming, first project involving hardware/software interaction. basic plan use 1 or more arduino boards in between software (via serial control) , scanner, drive film transport motors motors focus, camera positioning, etc. of mechanical elements there, have hooked , moving in right way. there ton of stepper motors in unit. controlled proprietary backplane/vexta driver card setup. 2 of them controlled these standalone drivers: https://www.flickr.com/photos/friolator/14239870825/in/set-72157644369553789

i want re-use these 2 drivers control 2 sprocket drive stepper motors in scanner. goal weekend 1 of these working under arduino control, through vexta driver, moving forward , backward correct distance 1 frame of film. i've barely scratched surface arduino, think gist of it, having done first 5 or 6 tutorials in starter kit.

my questions are:

1) i'm not sure how i'm supposed connect arduino. i'm guessing "cw" , "ccw" clockwise , counterclockwise, pins need connect arduino?

2) once connected, need write pins?

3) possible use 1 driver control 2 motors simultaneously same thing? i'm thinking 2 sprocket drive motors should move in tandem, if can put both on same driver, work automatically?

ideas? has used 1 of these drivers arduino?

thanks!

you need post link specifications drivers if want useful advice. photos don't tell anything.

my guess of arduino pins (apart 0,1) do. need software compatible pins choose.
