What is the difference b/w ethernet shield & wifi shield & gsm shield ??

in project need measure data sensor , process arduino, have transfer data other device.
what difference b/w above mentioned shields if wanted use them ?

thanks in advance.

hi, have few experience arduino might help.

first, device want send data collect sensor, if going send computer recommend bluetooth transceiver, faster, easier , cheaper others shields mention above.

another option using xbee more expensive , need two, 1 arduino , other pc receiving data (also need adapter xbee-usb), prefer option on bluetooth because xbee better , has lot of options , configurations bluetooth , can communicate lot of devices in same mesh.

anyway try explain shields mention:

ethernet shield/wifi shield: wired/wireless network adapter, can send data trough telnet (tcp sockets) device connected trough telnet too, or can use arduino web page server , show in web page data collected sensor

gsm shield: acts mobile phone, can send/receive sms (text messages) , make/receive calls, can send data trough sms mobile (i never tried connect internet don't know if possible shield)

hope :)
