Thread: casper is over complicated
hi,
tried frugal installation of ubuntu (ie, install root fs as-is without
expanding) failed. i've been doing:
copy /casper cdrom onto usb pen,
add boot entry following grub:
this approach has been working other linux distros used, debian-live, grml, slax family, puppy linux, etc. why casper make complicated?code:title try ubuntu without change computer kernel /casper/vmlinuz boot=casper initrd /casper/initrd.gz
ubuntu 9.04. symptom that, vmlinuz , initrd.gz found expected, casper fails when trying mount sqausfs root:
why screen shot lost, 2 times?
trying 3rd time. . .
