Thread: 137 GB rule (if that is what it is)

1. upgraded hd 40 gb 160 gb, more importantly beyond beyond end of bios if indeed correct terminology.
2. learned result of error 18.
3. upgraded bios correctly via ftp hp
4. partitioned attempting use major portion said hd xp primary, (2) ext3 partitions , swap vision of reinstalling ubuntu did giving me successful dual boot 9.04 , xp home.
5. attempted load lenny , received error 18
note: since have tried several options , used subject title merely ask dumb question here goes
suppose created ntfs 80 gb (thats half hd. took rest in (2) ext3 partitions 2 gb swap (i have 1 gb ram)
under these circumstances (rather unconventional) not load 2 linux os no fear of error 18 within 137 gb range.

please advise

i not sure, think can rid of error creating /boot partition.
