tell a friend script

i have been trying implement following "tell friend" script:

not sure im doing wrong. pop form appears when complete form , press send, getv message host server tell me has used form, doesnt collect sender or receiver email address. peroson whom tell friend supposed go doesnt arrive.

i havent got thank page" in tellafriend.php file. make differnece.

i real newbie , love drop me code give similar thankyou page 1 in example.

is there need on server side email part work.

any appreciated.

implementation of script instructions.

from quick read of article- there these parts it:
step one:
tellafriend.php
which stuff <?php part:

# after submission, target url
header("location: $thankyoupage");
exit;
?>

step two- form
copy form now- because scripting using form
field names. (so possible cause of implementation not
carrying form fields, , reason give url link page.

step 3
make thankyou.htm if it's blank file. make exist in same
folder level tellafriend.php. if doesn't exist, cause
an error , process of proving , doesn't work.

step four.
be patient.
this not chat or message board. it's nntp newsgroup web based
frontend people use. repeats message confusing
things.
