I2C 5v to 3.3v regulator
i have been planing project arduino mega 2560 , 8 mpu-9150s + i2c mux.
i advised have regulator 5v -> 3.3v (for example, pca9306, https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11955) i2c, instead of connecting 3.3v directly.
can explain me why risky connect directly 3.3v on arduino mega 2560?

that not regulator signal level converter.
there no need use on a mega 2560 unless thing connecting i2c bus 3v3 device.
then need protect device 5v of mega.
